HOLLYWOOD - Former Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd
will be performing at the release party of the Reality Entertainment/Caroline
soundtrack to VCA's latest video epic, Misty Beethoven: The
Musical, on Friday, June 25.
The party, described
by promoters as a “radio showcase,” will be held at the Roxy
on the Sunset Strip. Todd will hit the stage at 10 p.m. to perform
songs off his debut solo album, You Made Me, which was released
March 9 through X.S. Recordings.
Stars from the
movie will be on hand; and Hustler gift bags, which will include
copies of Todd's CD, will be given away. Opening the show, which
is being promoted by Reality Entertainment/Caroline in conjunction
with VCA, is Whitestar.
So what can rock
and porn fans expect from Mr. Todd and his band of young bucks
Friday night?
"High energy
and low I.Q.," he joked to AVNOnline.com. "They can
expect a really great rock 'n' roll show. A lot of sweat, a
lot of power. It'll be fun. Plus, there will be lots of boobies
and lots of sex going on there, which is always great for a
rock show."
Directed by Veronica
Hart, Misty Beethoven: The Musical is a musical remake of Henry
Paris’ classic porn film The Opening of Misty Beethoven and
stars Julie Meadows, Sunset Thomas, Evan Stone, and Randy Spears,
among others, all of whom sing in the video.
In fact, VCA was
so impressed with the video's soundtrack that they decided to
include a CD of the music in the limited-edition three-disk
set, and even licensed the rights for the music to Reality Entertainment,
a record label distributed by Caroline Entertainment.
The CD will hit
retail shelves Tuesday, July 27.
